Ioan Pintaru to appear in court after child stabbed in central London
Ioan Pintaru, of no fixed address, will appear before Westminster magistrates’ court from custody on Tuesday. He is charged with attempted murder and possession of a blade.
The 11-year-old’s injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.
The Met police said in a statement: “It was initially believed that the girl’s mother, a 34-year-old woman, was also hurt, however it was later confirmed that blood from her daughter’s injuries had been mistaken for injuries of her own.”
